The Hosted PBX system can be automatically placed into a holiday mode by using a holiday schedule. When the holiday mode schedule has been enabled, calls will be routed via the Holiday Activity.
Recommended usage of the Holiday Condition:
It is recommended that you create a single holiday condition that encompasses all public holidays and business specific holidays. This keeps management of the various holidays confined to a single condition. An exception to this rule is if there are multiple offices across various states – for example an office in Perth and an office in Brisbane. In this particular case it is recommended you create a holiday condition per state to allow for public holidays that are only state specific.
To create a new holiday condition:
• Select Holidays
• Select Add Condition
• Enter a name for the new holiday group
• Populate the Holiday Dates
• Set Activity Type. This is the next action to occur when the system detects a Holiday is active.
• Press Save
Add Holiday Dates:
The dates listed are used by the system to enable/disable the holiday call flow. To add a new Holiday Date use the green + button and enter:
• Name (for example: Boxing Day)
• Start Date (example 26/12/2013)
• End Date (example: 26/12/2013)
Note: The Start Date starts at 1 minute past midnight of the chosen date (for example: 26/12/2013 12:01:00AM). The End Date will end the condition a minute before midnight on the chosen date (for example: 26/12/2013 11:59:00PM). The above example steps configure a 24 hour holiday from 12:01AM the 26th of December until 11:59PM the 26th of December).
This is the action performed when a holiday is active.
Example options are as follows:
• External Phone Number
• Day/Night Control
• Virtual Extension
• Voicemail (Main/Alternate/No Message)
Note: The available destination will be filtered to only show valid destinations
By default, once a Holiday Condition is created it will be set to ‘manual mode’. To enable automatic mode for a call route:
• Select Call Routing
• From the list of call routes select an external number (example: 0731051300)
• From the Call Route screen select Enable Holiday
• From the drop down select the Holiday Condition you previously created.
Once enabled the ‘Holiday Condition’ selected on a Call Route will be used. The same Holiday Condition Group can be used on multiple Call Routes.
Holiday conditions can be enabled/disabled manually using the assigned dial code. This dial code will be listed in the web interface under the Holiday Condition.
In the following example the assigned code is *944
