In some instances it may be necessary to return a Yealink W52P to its factory default settings. This guide will walk you through the steps required to successfully factory reset a Yealink W52P.
Browse to the Yealink W52P’s IP address in a web browser. This will look similar to the follow example images:
Please note: The IP address of your Yealink W52P may be different to the IP address pictured in these example images.
If you need to obtain the IP address of your Yealink W52P you can do so by performing the following steps from one of the wireless handsets associated with the Yealink W52P base station:
- Press “end call” (red button) until you are back on the home screen.
- Press the “ok” button.
- Select “status” (the icon with a blue circle and the letter “i” in the middle) and press “ok”.
- Select “base” and press “ok”.
The phone will show “IP: x.x.x.x” where x.x.x.x is the phones IP address (for example, 10.0.2.60, 192.168.2.60, or 172.16.2.60)
At the login prompt, enter the following credentials:
You will be taken to the phones Status page after successfully logging in.
Select the Phone tab and then select the Upgrade option from the menu on the left side of the interface:
After selecting the Upgrade option, the option to Reset To Factory will be present. Selecting the Reset To Factory option will reset the Yealink W52P base station to its factory defaults. This process may take several minutes. You will be prompted to wait while the phone resets itself. Once complete, you will be taken back to the phones login screen as shown earlier in this guide. The base station will require additional configuration after the factory reset to register with an ECN Hosted Voice PBX.
