MyCloudPBX Softphone – iPhone Guide

 

This guide will help with the most common actions to be used with the MyCloudPBX Softphone.

You will need a MyCloudPBX Softphone account in order to follow this guide, if you do not already have one, then contact ECN on (07) 3105 1300 or by email at sales@ecn.net.au.

 

Installation

 

Step 1. From the app store, search ‘myCloudPBX’ and and download the app.

Step 2. Open the application.

Step 3. The first time you run the application, you will have to accept some permissions so the app will work. Start by allowing access to the Microphone. (Note that the microphone is only in use during phone calls)

 

 

Step 4. To allow Siri integration, click ‘OK’.

 

 

Step 5. Click ‘Allow’ to enable notifications. This will permit the app to notify you if you miss a call and allow the app to act seamlessly with your iPhone.

 

 

Step 6. Enter the following information.

     Username: Your username (as provided by ECN)

     Password: Your password (as provided by ECN)

Step 7. Ensure that ‘Keep Password’ & ‘Auto Login’ are selected, then click ‘Login’

 

 

Step 8. You are now logged in.

 

 Making a phone call

Open the myCloudPBX app and login using your username and password.

Using the touchscreen enter the number you wish to dial and then press the green ‘dial’ button.

On call options

Once the call connects, you have some additional options.

– You can mute your microphone by clicking ‘mute’.
– You can put the other person on hold by pressing the ‘hold’ button.
– You can put yourself on speakerphone, by pressing ‘speaker’.
– You can hang up the call by pressing the red ‘hangup’ button.
– To input numbers while on a call you can press the ‘keypad’ button.

Once you have finished entering numbers, you can press the ‘keypad’ button again.

Checking Voicemail

  1. To access your voicemail, press the button labeled ‘VM’.
  2. Follow the prompts & enter your voicemail PIN, just as you would normally.

 

 

View your Call History

1. To access your call history, press the button labelled ‘History’

 

 

2.  On this screen you can see your call history.

Add / View Contacts

1. To view your contact list, click the button labeled ‘contacts’.

 

 

2. On the contacts page, you will see a row of options along the top of the screen.‘Contacts’, ‘Buddies’ & ‘Favorites’

 

 

The ‘Buddies’ Tab.

This tab lists the active users on your phone system that you have added. Think of it like the shortcut keys on your desk phone.

It will show you who is online, weather they are on a phone call or if they are available to take your call.

 

Adding speed dials to other users on your phone system

1. Click the ‘contacts’ button

 

2. Click the ‘plus sign’ in the top right hand corner.

 

3. On this screen you can add all the pertinent information about the contact, including add a special photo or image to be assigned to the caller.

 

 

4. Scroll down and click ‘add softphone’.

5. Enter in the persons ‘extension number’, and any other information you wish to add, then click ‘Save’.

6. Now you can see your newly added contacts and their availability, and click on anyone you wish to ring.

 

 

 

Transferring Calls

1. Use the keypad to enter the number and then press the green call button.

 

 

2. Once the phone call has been answered, press the ‘add call’ button.

 

 

3. Using the keypad, dial the new number and press the green ‘call button’

 

 

4. Press the ‘more’ button.

 

 

5. Press the ‘Transer’ button

 

 

6. Transfer is now complete.

 

 

Conference Calls

1. Use the keypad to enter the number and then press the green call button.

 

 

2. Once the phone call has been answered, press the ‘add call’ button.

 

 

3. Using the keypad, dial the new number and press the green ‘call button’

 

4. Press the ‘merge’ button
